Response to Visual Poetry

I think the idea of visual poetry is very interesting.  I especially like the idea that poetry is trying to adapt itself into the evolving environment of technology.  My favorite "poem" was by Kevin McPhearson Eckoff and was an image of a face made of words.  Though I do not quite understand how the face is directly related to a poem because a viewer cannot read it, it is visually intriguing.  The concept of visual poetry itself is a bit confusing.  Some of the poems are so interesting to look at, but I do not understand how they are full poems or how to read them.  I feel like visual poetry is trying to make poems look thought provoking and unique rather than being written in a generic poem format.
